Great sponsorship from Polyfab

Last week, our travelling students hosted their fund rasing quiz night, and it was a great night with plenty of fun.

In addition to the money that was raised, Barry Jamieson, the Director of Polyfab Australia made a very generous donation of $500 towards the students fund.  This was a really generous offer, and all of us involved in the project would like to publically thank Barry and Polyfab for their kind offer.

Polyfab supplies a large range of fabrics for their outdoor shade structures, including a world first flame retardant shade cloth, FR Comshade (California Fire Marshall Approved ), which is designed for large scale shade structures like car parks and shopping centres. Whether it's fabric for pool or patio shade cloths, wind breaks, birdnetting, greenhouse material or haystacks, Polyfab has a fabric to suit your environmental control needs.

Sponsors supporting the students

Industry support is growing fast for our students as they strive towards their fund raising target. Although the airfares are being met by Government funding, the students have estimated that they need to raise just over $14,000 to undertake their studies and pay all the expenses - so quite a task.

However, their sponsorship programme is progressing well with support now being given by major sponsors:- Apositivemove, Austraflora, The AFL, Felco, Kennards Hire, Mansfields Propagation Nursery, Seasol, Toro, and Woodlands Golf Club. In addition to this the students have had a large number of donations from small business and individuals which has realised a new total raised of nearly $5000.

However, there is still a way to go, and the major event for the fundraising project is the forthcoming quiz night, so if you don't have a ticket yet, make sure you get one quick!

If you are interested in supporting these dynamic students with sponsorship, please feel free to make contact with any of them via their individual blog sites or contact teaching staff member Tony Bundock at tony.bundock@chisholm.edu,au to find out how you can assist.
